WHAT TO BRING

We provide you with the essentials, so you won’t really need very much once at the villa, however, for those unsure of what to pack, we recommend you bring:

  • Loose / comfortable clothing work best in the Sri Lankan climate
  • Old clothes and under garments / bathing suit bottoms (as you can get quite oily during your treatments)
  • Mosquito repellent
  • Flops / slippers for walking in the garden
  • A pair of comfy shoes is handy if venturing into the village or further a field

WHAT TO EXPECT

Plantation Villa has a very rural feel, being set in a small village away from the city, the local community and all hotel staff are peaceful, simple and friendly people. They have not complicated by the modern lifestyle and trends and are not used to being shouted at or fussed over. The hotel team have all been employed from the less privileged and local community then nurtured through training and educated about the ways and lifestyles of the foreign and modern world. They see the hotel and service as an extension of who they are and what they love doing. They are genuinely compassionate, kind and considerate and will look after visitors in the true sense of Sri Lankan hospitality and tradition.

The retreat is a sanctuary to wellness, kindness, mindfulness and nature, so there are few interruptions and interferences to the day and it’s activities. There is little to no disturbance, so you can completely focus on what your body, mind and spirit need to relax and rejuvenate. You will be among the calming greens of fruit trees and bird song by day and accompanied to bed by a sheet of stars and light of fireflies by night,
